It feels like it's been a successful week, even if I don't have the articles or word counts to prove it. But I do think I have a new gameplan for writing in the future.
It's been a busy two weeks for my creativy. It's been a mix of website stuff, non-fiction writing, and finally starting another flash fiction.
Apparently, I have a yearly trend of getting really excited about my goals days 1 through 7. Then for days 8 and on, getting over-anxious because I'm trying to focus on 20 things at once.
With a new year, comes New Year's Resolutions! Of course 1 of them is related to writing and so far off to a good start!
This is the second week in a row where I haven't published anything beyond these blogs. I think it's time to reassess my writing plan.
While I didn't create any writing pieces I did create a new theme for a website. It's a large undertaking and one I can't walk away from.
This week I stepped outside my normal flash fiction into something more fantasy/ sci-fi in an attempt to try out a character I've had in mind for a series.
After a short break, it's time to refocus. However, taking a break has made me reconsider my addiction to my to-do list.
Successes - ran a half marathon, got the brilliant idea to outline a novel; failures - haven't touched a bit of writing.
We're at the end of October with a good amount of success! And thankfully able to reflect on all my failures with no regrets.
